I have noticed more and more women are getting extensions these days do to the fact that they want longer or more voluminous hair. I have attended this years I.B.S. at the Jacob Javits Center N.Y., and it was all about hair extensions. There are so many companies to choose from. So why do we at the THOMAS COLE SALON choose Great Lengths for extensions? Well let me tell you.

Great Lengths purchases hair from India. They purchase what is called temple hair. Chinese and European hair that does not compare and is very inconsistent in quality. Some companies even purchase hair that is combed and collected by Indian women pulled from brushes and the direction of the hair cuticle is mixed and attached any which way. By the time the hair gets to you, it looks really nice but when you wash your extensions you get tremendous frizz because of this low quality hair. Great Lengths uses a special Osmosis process for the de-pigmentation of the hair. this leaves it in the best condition possible. That's why Great Lengths utilizes 100% human hair. The best Indian virgin hair. Indian hair is the closest type of hair to Caucasian hair.

I have been so fascinated with the new technology that is coming out for people with thinning hair and progressive hair loss. The laser treatment shown on the Doctors show was so exciting to me that I started doing the research on where I could get my hands on this Laser machine. I am thinking of trying one out in the salon so I'll keep you posted...

Hey all,

For a quick hair treatment go to the grocery store grab the ripest avocado take it home and cut half into a bowl and one egg white and whip or mortar and pistil until smooth and apply to shampooed, towel dried hair. Wrap hair in plastic wrap for 15 minutes then rinse. It's like magic.

Yes men and women it's true! The best thing to do when your feeling blue is to get your hair done. The relaxing shampoo can turn into a mini head massage if you just tell the shampoo assistant that you have a bit of a headache, they will treat it more like a massage. Even ask them to shampoo it twice! A cool rinse at the end of the massage will close the follicle and smooth down the cuticle of the hair leaving it even more silky. The combing of the hair relaxes the scalp also. When finished and you look in the mirror, the confidence that a good hair style gives you, excites the chemicals in your brain thus putting a smile on your face and sending positive signals throughout your body. Now you can go about your day kindly. It's that simple.
